Worried, or Boring

Are you someone that worries all the time?  I know sometimes I struggle with worry and anxiety, but I always try my best to know that no matter how much I worry, the situation won’t change.

Worrying doesn’t do anything except help you live a pretty boring, terrible life.

If you had the chance to go sky diving, would you go?

If you are a worrier, the answer is more than likely no. You would probably give up the chance of a lifetime just because you were thinking of all of the possible negative outcomes; what if my parachute doesn’t open, what if it gives me a heart attack, what if this, what if that.

Just because of these what if’s, your life has become boring. You choose to be buried in the sand instead of going snorkeling. But even if you stay buried in the sand, you’ll still worry.

Once you stop living your life, you start worrying for others lives. You try to get them to come join you under that rock that has become your safe place. You stay there, suffocating day after day, and then eventually you die, knowing that you could’ve lived a more fuller, worthwhile life.

Once you stop worrying, you would probably take the plunge to go skydiving. You would realize that you can finally put your Go Pro camera to use, and you might even get 1 million views on YouTube, become rich and have your life changed forever. All of this could happen just because you let your worry go.

I am a firm believer that whenever your time is up, your time is up. Nothing will ever extend your death date. Only God knows when your time here on Earth is done.

Keep your faith in God, and never worry. Your life will be filled with so much more joy, and you will experience things you can’t even imagine.

Matthew 6:25-34

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you-you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
